Hello all! (I'm hoping this is all okay to do here) I'm planning on building a bigggg project. Found a pretty good sized mountain that I've been hollowing out (so please if you start going into a mountain and notice it's being hollowed out, just fill the hole and dig elsewhere if it's not to rude to ask...). If anyone wants to help with this project, that would be cool but for now it would be pretty boring just carving out this mountain into a giant cave. when finished I'm hoping to put a dark city in the cave, and a small village on top. Sorta like this... and this Edit* of course it wont be 'that' big as the pictures...but pretty darn big.

Lol well help me out and you can. and the cave is...well. if you exit main city on the side of the large tower, you'll see a wooden house on top of a mountain. To the right of that is a lake and another mountain. Approach that 'other mountain' and you'll see a doorway next to some lava.

I'll have to take a look at that tonight. Internet at work is to slow for youtube. Although Tom! The man I was looking for, was talking to one of your minions and wondering if I'd be able to get that mountain griefproof next time were both on. Just a way to keep people from seeing it and building a house on or in it not realizing that I'd put a lot of work into it or etc.

Due to a substantial amount of help from Tom, it looks like the hallowing out of the mountain is approximately 1/3rd done!
Now as per how long and expensive this project is running me (using my iron and diamonds to carve this bad boy out) I figure I"ll have to find some way of 'compensation' of sorts in order to build a house in this area. (probably like 5 iron or something quite minuscule.) Mostly there would just be a 'theme' going for inside that would keep it all looking similar.
Although; if you help out with the carving, you get a free spot and one of the first picks! (Tom so far)
PS. There will be the little village on top, so some people will get a house on top, that connects inside. I'm wanting the only way inside the mountian to be from within the village.

Haha, I'd have to say yes! I'd also say ask Tom to show you where it's at so you can take a look for yourself. Now that parts of it are carved you can see roughly how big it's going to be and if you think it's worth your diamond and such. Moreso...just wish me luck that the whole project doesn't collapse into failure!

Oh don't worry about that. As you know, minecraft blocks don't follow the normal law of gravity. It won't collapse unless you make it out of gravel or sand

Lol well I know that; I was more talking about getting about halfway around the edge of the mountian higher up and realizing it will be far to complicated and saying "f-it" before rage lava...lol
